As we move forward with requirements and shifts in instructional practices aligned to the Florida Standards Assessments, it is our goal to provide you with ongoing and timely feedback from multiple sources. The instructional coaches have traveled together into classrooms to ensure they have a common understanding of the learning map, common language in providing feedback and viable strategies needed to support teachers. Their strengths are developing individualized instructional support driven by data and observation. All of our “Instructional Stylists” have worked at the district level, and have had the opportunity to train and observe instruction across the K-12 system. They are well versed in strategies to support teacher instruction and student learning.The Coaches were provided with the following job embedded responsibilities and Coaching expectations on July 21, 2014:
1) Live and Breathe the Instructional Model 2) Data collection with teachers (as modeled during UF Coaching Institute) 3) Progress Monitor/DE Data analysis 4) Conduct Data Summits with teachers: (3 Rdg/LA; 2 Math/Science/Civics) 5) Support PLCs 6) Provide ongoing Professional Development 7) Support Teachers and Students Our “Instructional Stylists” are onsite professional developers who teach us how to use evidence-based teaching practices and to support us in learning and applying these practices in a variety of educational settings.

BUILDING LEADERSHIP: ONE STUDENT AT A TIME!
The Lead2Feed World Hunger Leadership Challenge is a team-based, service learning program that fosters teamwork in an effort to help students learn and develop key leadership skills as they take action to solve real-life hunger issues. Throughout this leadership program, students will participate in a student leadership development program adapted from David Novak’s book, Taking People With You. In addition, you will have access to USA TODAY’s e-Newspaper, video messages from David Novak and social media outlets to connect and communicate throughout the program.
