LEADSeries: Meet Our New Hurricanes~Week 9

Hello Hurricanes!!!! This Week’s  STORM TALK”  spotlights  Dyniesha Dye, 3D and News Teacher.

Tell us about your favorites. My favorite sport is football because I come from a family full of football players and athletes in general. When it comes to sports, I am just like the guys, focused on the game. Every Monday and Thursday night, Saturdays and Sundays, I am glued to the TV watching football.

What’s the scariest thing you ever did? The scariest thing that I’ve ever done was to go skydiving. Of course, your biggest fear would be dying while trying to do something on your bucket list. However, being the dare devil that I am, I conquered it!

Describe what makes you happy? The thing that makes me the happiest is being able to make others smile. I am such a selfless person that believes in being a servant to others because God blesses those who serve his people.

If you could have dinner with any one person, who would it be and why? If I could have dinner with any one person, it would be First Lady Michelle Obama because I admire her strength. It takes a special and strong individual to stand next to her husband through so much adversity that he endures as being the first black president and having the first black family.

Share with us about your travels. My favorite travel is international because you get to experience different countries and their cultures. I really enjoy going to the Caribbean for the amazing food.

CONTINUE TO STORM, Ms. Dye!

LEADSeries: MEET OUR NEW HURRICANES-Week 8

mary-noll

Hello Hurricanes!!!! This Week’s  STORM TALK”  spotlights  Mary Noll, ELA Teacher .

Tell us about your family and where you’re from. My husband and I have been married for 10 years. We have an 8 year old daughter, a 2 year old daughter, two cats, and one dog. I am from Miami which has the largest population of Cubans, outside of Cuba.

What do you like to do in your free time? I like to play with my kids during my free time. When I find fun things in nature to do with my family, I am happy. We just completed a swamp walk last Saturday. We also just received some Monarch butterfly caterpillars and have enjoyed watching their metamorphosis on our back porch.

What volunteer activities are you involved with? My friends and I formed a committee to update the play equipment at Kewannee Park. After months of hard work and determination (including meeting with very powerful government leaders) the plan was approved. Work will begin next month.

What brought you to education? The chance to impact lives.

If you could have dinner with any one person, who would it be and why? Robert Reich because he is a wealth of knowledge.

CONTINUE TO STORM, Ms. Noll!
